Lee Wareham, 86, passed away peacefully at home on October 02, 2019. He was born August 25, 1933 in Ferron, Utah to Ken and Lyda Wilde Wareham. He married Kathleen Chapman Wareham on July 02, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City temple on September 11, 1964.

Lee was raised in Ferron where he graduated from South Emery High. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as a Manti Temple Worker for numerous years. Lee was an avid farmer and he worked for thirty plus years in the coal mines. He enjoyed working with and training race horses, which included chariots and flat track. He loved teaching his children and grandchildren the importance of hard work through showing them the ins and outs of running his cattle farm. Lee was usually always the first to be down to the coffee shop to catch up on the latest farm and political happenings around the county. Lee was also always willing to help his neighbors in any way that he could.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Kathleen Chapman Wareham; daughter Kelly (Ken) Peterson of Gillette, Wyoming; Kevin (Deanni) Wareham, Ferron, UT; Colette Weinstock, Las Vegas, Nevada; Corey Wareham, Salt Lake City, Utah. Nine grandchildren, Twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Lyda Wilde Wareham; four brothers Ray, Earnest, Max, Dick; two sisters, Margaret and Annette; great grandson Kayce Cody Jones, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be October 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Ferron Stake Center located at 515 South 400 West in Ferron. Viewing will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on October 4, 2019 at the Ferron Stake Center. Family and close friends are welcome to attend a viewing from 10 am to 10:45 just prior to services. Interment will be held in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guest book and share memories of Lee at www.fausettmortuary.com.
