The Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) set up a smartphone app for hunters in July to submit coyotes for compensation and they are hosting a couple of tutorial classes to help hunters understand and navigate the new app.

“It’s a new app and some people have questions about it and so we’re reaching out to the public and we would like to help answer any questions in person if possible,” said Conservation Outreach Manager, Aaron Bott. “The primary purpose of both of these events is to just educate people on how to use this new app.”

The first informational tutorial class will be on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Green River City Hall located at 460 East Main Street in Green River. The second class will be on Wednesday, November 13 at 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Emery County Courthouse at 75 East Main Street in Castle Dale.

Any hunters that have used the app but still have questions are encouraged to come to one of the classes too. “It really helps us out to get some feedback from the public. If you come to the meeting and you have used the app but you’re struggling with it, let us know and we can either help you out or we can make some changes hopefully in the future that’ll make this a really painless process,” explained Bott. The app is available as a free download for Android and Apple devices.
