Two senior student-athletes from Pinnacle and one from Green River have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the 2019 fall season with a selection to the Academic All-State team in their respective sport by the Utah High School Activities Association and the Deseret News.

Stephanie Sasser from Pinnacle Academy was recognized for both cross country and volleyball. In cross country this season she finished 42 out of 73 runners at the final State Championship Meet and also helped the Lady Panthers to a third place region finish. On the volleyball court she led the team in kills (77), digs (123), and aces (22) playing 62 sets in a season that was very competitive for Pinnacle.

Logan Kerr of Pinnacle was also named for cross country. He finished in 10th place in the Region 19 Championship, helping his team earn a first place victory.

For Green River Sam Corrigan was named to the Academic All-State team for baseball. In 20 games he had a .273 batting average with a .394 on base percentage. He also contributed 15 hits, four RBI’s and 14 runs.
