Max Edwin Heino, age 85, died October 25, 2019 in Price of a short illness. Max was born in Latuda, Utah April 22, 1934 to Axel Fredrik and Hilda Marie Nelson Heino. He married Della Jean Wilson November 13, 1954 in Spring Canyon, Utah.

He served in the United States Army at Ft. Ord, California and Ft. Eustis, Virginia.

Max was a lifetime member of the United Mine Workers of America Local # 8622 and received his 70 year pin. He spent his life working in the coal mines of Carbon County.

Max and Jean loved snowmobiling with family and friends all over Carbon and Emery Counties. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his grandsons and going for rides on his 4-wheeler.

In 1995 he traveled to Sweden; visiting his parent’s homes and meeting family. His youngest daughter Lorri and son-in-law Raymond were able to accompany him on this trip. In 2000 he returned with his oldest daughter Terri.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Paul and Elmer and grandson Skyler Shimmin

He is survived by his wife Jean, daughters; Terri (David) Shimmin of Springville, Lorri (Raymond) Garcia of Helper, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Mountain View Cemetery, Cemetery Rd., Helper, Utah. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday from 11:30-12:30 prior to graveside service. Arrangements are entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily.
