With the fall sports season now complete, the winter sports season, which includes boys and girls basketball, wrestling, swimming and drill will begin on Friday, Nov. 1.

The first competition of the new season will involve the Carbon swim team as they travel on the road to Richfield Friday afternoon. The team will then compete on November 5 in Castle Dale at the Emery County Aquatic Center. The Lady Dinos will enter the 2019 season as the defending 3A State Champions.

Under first-year head coach Jared Butler, the boys basketball team will open up the 2019-20 season on the road against Providence Hall on Nov. 22. Following the season opener the Dinos will host the Uintah Utes on Nov. 26. The first region game is scheduled for Jan. 8 on the road against South Sevier.

Once again under head coach Ted Bianco, the Lady Dinos will open the basketball season on Nov. 19 on the road against North Sanpete. The team will continue an early season road trip, playing their first six games away from home before hosting Union on Dec. 10.

Entering year-four under head coach Brock Fausett, the wrestling team will begin practice in early November. The first meet of the season will take place on the road on Wednesday, Dec. 4 against the Duchesne Eagles.
