With the completion of the fall sports season the Emery Spartans are gearing up for the winter sports season, which begins on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The winter sports season will feature boys and girls basketball, drill team, swimming and wrestling. The swim team will participate in the first three events of the new season, hosting its first meet on Nov. 5 against Carbon and South Sevier.

The boys basketball team will begin the season on Nov. 22 on the road against American Leadership Academy in a non-region tilt. Other key dates on the schedule feature a trip to Carbon on Jan. 10 and a home contest on Jan. 31, and the Region 12 opener Jan. 8 on the road against Richfield.

The defending 3A State Champion Emery Lady Spartans will begin the basketball season on Nov. 26 on the road against Cedar. League play will begin for the Lady Spartans on Tuesday, Jan. 7 against the Richfield Wildcats on the road.

Emery’s wrestling team will open up the season on Nov. 27 on the road against the Manti Templars. The first home meet will take place the following week against the Richfield Wildcats.
