Price, UT – The Utah State Eastern women’s soccer team used this week to prepare for the upcoming Scenic West Athletic Conference tournament. The Eagles finished the regular season as the #4 seed in the tournament, matching them up with the #1 seed, Salt Lake Community College Bruins.

USU Eastern has faced the Bruins twice this season, both games resulting in a loss for the Eagles by a score of 3-1. Both Eagle goals came by successful penalty kicks. In the most recent matchup, the majority of 1st half gameplay minutes have been spent tied, or with the Eagles leading. The second half has been more of an Achilles heel for the Lady Eagles.

“We will need to be playing our best soccer, the end of the regular season leads us to be playing our best. We are highly anticipating our opportunity to compete this Friday,” Head Coach Ammon Bennett commented in a tournament preview interview.

The winner of the match between USU Eastern and SLCC will play the following day against the winner of the #2 Snow College Badgers and #3 College of Southern Nevada Coyotes.  The Lady Eagles play this Friday, November 1st at 1:30 p.m., at Zion’s Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah.  The tournament will be streatmed live on The Scenic West Digital Network.
