The Pinnacle Lady Panthers basketball team took to the floor for the first time on Thursday night to kickoff the 2019-20 campaign.

The Panthers would face the Rockwell Marshals from Eagle Mountain. Rockwell is a team from the 2A ranks out of Region 17. The Panthers would come away with the victory 47-43.

Pinnacle is only returning three seniors from last years squad. Raeliegh Miller, Alyssa MacDonald and Stephanie Sasser. Last season Sasser led the Panthers in scoring at 12.8 points per-game and rebounds with 13.5 per game which also put her as the number two rebounder in the state last year across all divisions.

The returning seniors will be joined by a trio of juniors as well. Guards Jacee Atwood, Angel Welch and Destinee Andrews will bring experience from last season to the court this year.

Up next for the Lady Panthers will be a home contest against the Wendover Wildcats on Tuesday in Price. Tip-off is set for 5:30. Check back with Castle Country Radio for the results of this game as they become available.
