LaRae M. Kinder, 90, of Huntington, Utah, passed away December 6, 2019, peacefully at her home in Huntington. She was born March 10, 1929 in Spring Canyon, Utah to William Raymond McCandless and Fawn Geary McCandless. She married Archie Gale Kinder on July 21, 1947 in Manti, Utah. They had five children; Cynthia Smith, Huntington, Utah; RaeLynn Kinder (deceased); Patricia Sweet, Lake Forest, California; David Kinder, Huntington, Utah; Scott (deceased) (Janet) Kinder, Huntington, Utah.

LaRae loved education. She graduated valedictorian from Noth Emery High School and went on to earn a master’s degree from Brigham Young University where she graduated with honors and five children. She taught many young students how to read and love learning as well. She loved painting landscapes, was a handy-woman and specialized in creative repairs and maintenance, was a terrible driver, and a poor shot with her 30-30.

She is survived by her three children: Cynthia, Trish, and David. She leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her younger sister Jean Bird of Kaysville, Utah.

LaRae is preceded in death by her husband Gale, her parents, two children RaeLynn and Scott, and two brothers Ted and Geary McCandless..

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 13, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Huntington City Cemetery with a viewing Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Huntington Stake Center, 240 N Main, Huntington, Utah and from 9:30-10:45 am prior to the graveside service.  To express condolences please visit www.FausettMortuary.com.
