Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend, Rhoda Jane Bordea, age 89, passed peacefully away on December 5, 2019.

Rhoda was born February 4, 1930, in Logan, West Virginia to Charles and Lula Enoch Conley. Married Daniel Bordea, August 22, 1948, in Paintsville, Kentucky. Dan passed away July 11, 2015.

Rhoda was born and raised on a small farm in rural West Virginia. Because of that upbringing on the farm, she cultivated a love for gardening. Everyone was witness to her green thumb as they drove by her house on 800 North in Price. Rhoda also gained a love of birds in her childhood, especially the thrush, a bird she loved to hear sing.

Education was very important to Rhoda. Later in her life she attended and graduated from CEU with her cosmetology license and made many friends at Emma’s Touch of Artistry where she worked for nearly a decade as a hairstylist. Rhoda also acquired her real estate license as well. She loved art, especially the work of Ansel Adams.

Rhoda attended Price Chapel where she loved everyone and was loved by everyone. She will be sorely missed by her Price Chapel family, neighbors and a community of friends.

She is survived by her sons, Bill (Diana) Bordea, Price, Doug (Rena) Bordea, South Charleston, West Virginia; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bordea, Cassie (Todd) Layne, Zachary (Elly) Bordea; 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Danny; parents; brothers and sisters; aunts and uncles.

Funeral service, Wednesday, December 11, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Rhoda online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
