The Green River Lady Pirates went to Moab to face the Grand County Red Devils on Tuesday night. After jumping out to a 20-6 first quarter lead, the Pirates would continue to pour it on and come away with the 51-26 win.

Continuing to build on their first quarter success, Green River would hold a 32-12 lead at halftime. Pushing it to 42-19 at the end of the third, the Pirates held the Red Devils to single digit scoring in every quarter.

Led in this one by Talynn Lovato with 25 points. Abby Erwin would add 12 points and Rilee Alvarado chipped in eight points as part of this great team win.

This pushes Green River’s record to 3-4 on a very young season. After dropping four in a row the Pirates have put back-to-back wins together as they prepare for a trip to Milford next Tuesday, they will then return home to face the same Grand County team on the December 19 and Tabiona on the 20th before they hit the Christmas break.
