The Price Boys and Girls Club is an organization that provides a safe, fun out of school time activities for children ages five to 18 years old. The Price B&G Club is trying to increase its teen member numbers by offering free registration for the remainder of the school year to any interested teens in the community.
“For the month of February, we are dropping registration fees. We want to get teens in here as much as possible to see all the good things that we are doing,” said Program Coordinator, Andrew Bailey. “We have a lot of programs right now that I’m excited about. We have our Keeping it Real program, which focuses on substance abuse prevention. We have another curriculum that’s called All for You, talks about reproductive health and making good choices in that space. Another thing I’m really excited about is our Keystone program, its focus is on teen leadership.” The daily structure and activities for B&G Club members differ between the elementary and high school-aged kids.
Every Friday during the month of February teens are sure to find tons of fun and delicious food. “We are having a lot of fun on Fridays; we’re playing tournaments and we’re eating pizza and having a great time,” said Bailey. Tournaments consist of foosball, pool, computer and video games.
Any teens that are interested in becoming a member of the Price Boys and Girls Club can stop by their location of 30 East 200 South in Price, Monday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm or call (435) 637-6066.
