The spring sporting events will officially begin for the Carbon Dinos on Tuesday, March 3 as the baseball team opens the season at home against the Payson Lions.

Once again under the direction of manager Jeff Cisneros, the Carbon baseball team will play its first two games of the season at home. The first road game will take place on Saturday, March 7 against West, starting a mini four game road trip. The first home game of the season will take place on March 13 against Provo.

Led by manager Wade Williams, the Carbon softball team will open the season at home on March 6 against the Emery Spartans. The team will then host Manti on March 10, before traveling to Pine View and a St. George Tournament on March 12-through-14.

The track and field schedule will include 11 competitions throughout the season, including the season ending region and state championship meets. The team will host the Farm Bureau Invitational on March 28 and the annual Eastern Utah Championship on April 24. The track and field squad will once again be led coach by Jimmy Jewkes.

The Carbon boys soccer team, led by head coach Chad Cowdell, will open the season on the road Thursday, March 5 against he Morgan Trojans. The first home game will take place on Tuesday, March 10 at home against the Grand Red Devils.

The girl’s golf team will begin Region 12 play on Thursday, March 5 with a road trip to the Cove View Golf Course in Richfield. The season will consist of eight competitions, including a home meet on March 19.

The boy’s tennis season will begin on Saturday, March 7 as the team travels to Brigham City for the Box Elder Tournament. The season will run through April with the conclusion on May 8 and 9. The first home meet will take place on Tuesday, March 24.
