The Carbon High School tennis squad opened the 2020 season with a solid performance on the road against the Juab Wasps in Nephi Tuesday afternoon.

Competing in three single varsity events, the Dinos came away with three wins. The team split the two doubles contest, ending the afternoon with more wins than losses.

Junior Preston Condie earned a win in straight sets, defeating his opponent 6-3, 6-2. Jack Livingston also won decisively in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1. The lone loss came from Leonard Livingston who fell in three sets 6-3, 2-6, 2-6.

Bonham Brewer and Derrick Jorgensen scored a victory for the Dinos in the doubles set as they topped their opposition 6-4, 6-0. Alex Callahan and Garret Black dropped their match in straight sets 4-6, 0-6.

Carbon will return to the tennis courts on Thursday as the travel to Mount Pleasant for a tournament hosted by North Sanpete. Stay tuned to Castle Country Radio for results as soon as they become available.
