Emery High School seniors Brax Jensen and Jordan Ekker have both earned 3A All-State basketball selections for the 2019-20 season following a vote from coaches in the classification.

Jensen garnered a 3A All-State first team selection after delivering an exceptional senior campaign. Averaging 21.8 points per contest throughout the season, Jensen averaged 24.5 during a brutal 10-game region schedule.

Posting a season-high 34 points in a 66-59 win over South Sevier on Feb. 5, Jensen equaled that total as Emery dominated Grand 69-42 in the second round of the 3A State Tournament.

Jensen also established himself as a premiere distributor throughout the season. Averaging 8.6 assists throughout the year, Jensen had eight games where he finished with at least 10 assists.

Ekker was tabbed as a member of the 3A All-State second team as he led the Spartans in three point shots made throughout the year with 80. Playing on the perimeter with Jensen throughout the season, the two became one of the most potent backcourt duos in 3A.

Averaging 21 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals per game, Ekker posted a season best 24 points against San Juan in a thrilling 63-58 victory at home on Jan. 17. He finished the season with 23 points against Judge Memorial in a 81-66 win in the third-place state tournament game.

Emery finished the 2019-20 season with a record of 24-4. The Spartans ended the Region 12 season 9-1, sharing the division crown with the Richfield Wildcats. The season came to an end with a dominating win over Judge Memorial in the third-place contest at the 3A State Championship Tournament in February.
