Auditions for the USU Eastern Dance Team will be by video submissions only. Auditions are open to incoming freshman, transfer students and current USU Eastern students.
A cumulative GPA of 2.0 minimum is required for eligibility to participate and must be maintained for membership. Members are required to be a full-time student, registered for at least 12 credit hours.
USU Eastern will be looking to select talented individuals that will best fit the USU Eastern Spirit Squad program and represent USU Eastern and its athletic department at a high standard. They will only consider individuals who are willing to work hard, take direction, and dedicate time and energy in building a successful program.
It is important to understand the amount of effort and time that is expected of members selected to be a part of the Spirit Squad and Dance Team. Each member will be required to attend every practice, and all home games including some away. There will also be opportunities to serve and participate in community events. Being a member of the USU Eastern Spirit Squad and Dance Team is a HUGE time commitment! Do not audition if you cannot commit your time and energy to this program.
Members selected will also be required to pay fees. Payment dates will be given once members are selected and must be paid in full by the start of fall semester. Scholarships will be given to those individuals that qualify, amounts will vary.
Dancers $650: Expenses will go towards clothing, costuming, camp, rental fees, music editing, outside choreography, travel, and much much more.

IMPORTANT: Registration form (found online), copy of insurance card, and video submission must be emailed to usuespiritsquad@usu.edu before Sunday May 3rd, 2020 by 9:00 am. Anything sent afterwards will be ineligible. Please make sure your registration form is filled out completely and is legible. A copy of transcripts must be mailed to Utah State University Eastern ATTN: SPIRIT SQUAD BRANDI JOHANSEN 451 E 400 N Price, Utah 84513. We understand that these may be difficult to obtain at this time due to the complications of Covid-19. If so, please send a current copy of your cumulative GPA via email. We will check the validity once records are available to the University. Please make sure you provide ALL requirements listed for your video submission. Members selected for the 2020- 2021 will be posted on the athletic website www.usueasternathletics.com and social media accounts within the following week and will be notified via email.
