Tryouts for the USU Eastern Cheer Team will be by video submissions only and will be due by Friday, May 8.

Tryouts are open to incoming freshman, transfer students and current USU Eastern students. A cumulative GPA of 2.0 minimum is required for eligibility to participate and must be maintained for membership. Members are required to be a full-time student, registered for at least 12 credit hours.

USU Eastern is looking to select talented individuals that will best fit the USU Eastern Spirit Squad program and represent USU Eastern and its athletic department at a high standard. Only individuals who are willing to work hard, take direction, and dedicate time and energy in building a successful program will be considered.

It is important to understand the amount of effort and time that is expected of members selected to be a part of the Spirit Squad and Cheer Team. Each member will be required to attend every practice, and all home games including some away. There will also be opportunities to serve and participate in community events.

Payment dates will be given once members are selected and must be paid in full by the start of fall semester. Scholarships will be given to those individuals that qualify, amounts will vary. Cheerleaders $600: Expenses will go towards equipment, clothing, camp, pictures, and outside choreography.
