The Helper Project is happy to be a sponsor to this summer’s Helper Summer Art Club activities. They are enthusiastic about local children having the opportunity to create and explore multiple art forms through the club.  Castle Country Radio took time to speak over the telephone with Club Coordinator, Sarah Feik about the details.

“I have been very fortunate to be involved in The Helper Project for some other things as well and so I have a working relationship with Melanie Steele and she took this idea of the Helper Summer Art Club to The Helper Project and they were so generous and said that they would fund this project for us,” said Feik. The Helper Project is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster the revitalization and to promote the beautification and cultural enhancement of Helper, Utah.

The schedule for the Helper Summer Art Club will kick off on May 26 and will feature the activity of foil figures. “You basically just building a foil figure, like almost a trophy kind of a thing and you’ll build that out of foil. So, in the kit there will be several sheets of foil, as well as some pipe cleaners and then directions. On the directions it has pictures to describe what you are doing as well as some QR Codes,” said Feik. All the materials for each project will be inside each kit, with the exception of a few household items.

The following is the schedule for the Helper Summer Art Club:

May 26         Foil Figures

June 9          Zentangle Space Adventure

June 23        Zoo Trip Watercolor

July 7           This Rocks! Kiness Rocks

July 21         Flower Pounding

August 4       Tie-Dye Color Cards

The kits can be picked up through a drive-through method on the day of the activity at 1:00 pm at the Steele Fine Arts Studio at 51 South Main Street in Helper. To register for the Helper Summer Art Club visit their Facebook page or email Sarah Feik at sarahfeik@gmail.com
