Our precious son, brother, grandson and nephew, Jaden Robert Ford Slama, age 12, passed away on May 22, 2020, from injuries after a tragic dirt bike accident.

Jaden Robert was born in Price, Utah on June 8, 2007, to Amber Hafer and AJ Ford, later adopted by his grandparents Jeffery and Connie Slama.

Jaden had a very kind and loving soul; he was dynamic and quick-witted. He had the most beautiful smile that we will dearly miss. He had a tender heart for animals, mostly dogs. Just recently he rescued a cat and named her Charlie. He loved her very much. He did not like to see people being mean to animals; it would make him very mad.

Jaden had a knack for electronics. When we messed them up he would have to fix them. He was our little computer wiz at our house. He always went to his great-grandma’s house to fix her TV. He would tell her, “Quit hitting the wrong buttons, great-grandma.”

He was a very polite young man and was helpful when someone asked for his help. Whenever Grandpa Jeff was home that’s where you would find Jaden, out helping grandpa with whatever he was doing or just hanging out. He loved to be with his great-grandpa and would always ask him, “Well great-grandpa, what are we doing today; can I help you?” You would always find him in the garage when great-grandpa was there tinkering and always trying to help.

Jaden also helped his uncle Jerry when he needed help and would also ask his aunt Pattie for hugs all the time. He would meet her at the front door when she came home and would ask for a hug and say, “How was your day?”

He loved to tease and pull jokes on his little sister because he just loved to annoy her. Jaden would just laugh and giggle because she would get so mad at him.  Gabby will miss her bubba very much and she will miss his annoying sounds that he made just to make her laugh. Jaden was a very proud big brother to Zekken and loved helping him. He always wanted to be in charge and loved helping and tormenting his brothers and sisters.

Some of Jaden’s things he liked to do was to hang out with his friends and play on his phone and Xbox. He also loved to make cool things with his Legos. He loved to go fishing when he could, although he spent most of his time fixing or baiting other people’s poles.

Jaden’s most favorite thing to do was to ride his dirt bike every chance he got. He would also check it and clean it before he would ride. Jaden would ride anything that had wheels. He loved taking things apart and putting them back together so he could see how they worked.

He had a quiet side to him, and some days he just wanted to chill out in this room and watch TV or play Xbox.

Jaden just graduated from seventh grade at Pinnacle Canyon Academy. Jaden will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving family, Jeffery Slama, AJ (Cassandra) Ford, Amber Hafer, Mary Lou Slama, Pattie (Jerry) Willburn, JoAnne Ford, Aubrey, Angel, Gabriella, Kraiden, Jazzlynne, Zekken; his extended family, April (BJ), Tiffany, Celeste; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and classmates.
