Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, Leah Gail Christensen Pagano, age 77, passed away peacefully at the Heirloom Inn in Price, Utah on June 22, 2020.

She was born November 21, 1942 in Standardville, Utah to Perry Elias and Nola O’Neil Christensen.  Gail married her high school sweetheart, Richard L. Pagano on June 4, 1960 in Price, Utah; their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on June 26, 1965.  Richard preceded her in death on August 30, 2001.

Gail was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in numerous callings.  She was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1960.  Gail was very creative and had an amazing talent for making button dolls.  She created and shared hundreds of her “Dollies” with friends and family.  In her earlier years she was very energetic and she could hold her own with any boy in the neighborhood.  Gail loved playing the violin, coaching girls basketball and following her children and grandchildren in their sporting events.

Gail was a tireless worker who held several positions with the federal government. However, after her retirement she enjoyed substitute teaching where she made a positive impression on many young students.  Gail touched the lives of many and her memory will be cherished for generations.

She is survived by two daughters, one son and their spouses, Lisa (Dan) Hunt, Helper, Diana (Chad) Howard, Huntington, Kevin (Wendy) Pagano, Placitas, New Mexico; ex-husband and friend, John Ford, Bountiful; brother, Perry (Ginger) Christensen, Logan; sister, Susan Wilstead, Price; brother-law, Bruce Worthen, Pleasant Grove; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Joyce (Ken) Anderson, Gloria (Floyd) Seal and Carol Worthen; brother-in-law, Duane Wilstead; niece, Amy Wilstead Johnson; father-in-law, Tony Pagano; mothers-in-law, Evella and Virginia Pagano; and a sister-in-law, Shirley (Perry) Peirce.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heirloom Inn for the friendship and care they gave our mom.  Also a special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice and especially her nurse, Audrey.
