Gene Erramouspe, age 84, passed away peacefully, February 11, 2016 at his home in Spring Glen, after a short battle with cancer.

He was born November 17, 1931 in Price, Utah to Mike and Mary (Clerico) Erramouspe.  He attended school at Notre Dame Catholic School in Price.  He spent his summers as a youth in the mountains of Colorado working with the family sheep business.

Gene proudly served his country in the Korean War.  He was stationed in Japan.  After his service in the army he came home and attended Carbon College where he learned his craft as an auto mechanic.  Over the years he built a reputation as one of the best mechanics in the area while working at Redd Motor.

He married the love of his life Necia Nielsen on August 17th of 1957.  They were never apart from that day on.  They lived in Spring Glen in the same house for their entire marriage and raised two boys.

Gene later went to work for Utah Power and Light at the Carbon Plant.  He was there until his retirement.  He made a great many friends while working there and continued to visit with many of them after his retirement.

After retirement he bought a cabin in the Joe's Valley area where he and the family spent many happy years.  He traveled extensively with Necia because she loved to travel.

Survived by his wife, Necia; sons, Steven (Bambi) Spring Glen, UT., David (Kathleen) Evergreen, CO.; and grandsons, Jake, Josh, and Danny.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Margaret Turcasso, Katherine Elegante and infant sister Janet.

Gene was a great dad to his sons, Steven and David, and a wonderful grandfather to Jake, Josh and Danny.   He was a very matter of fact person who told you what he thought and someone who was very proud of his heritage and family.

We Love You.   "Uppa Gaga"
