Community Angel Tree Taking Applications

The Holiday Season is fast approaching and the United Way of Eastern Utah will lend a helping hand for some less fortunate families in the area.  Applications for the Carbon and Emery Community Angel Tree are available, and may be returned to locations in Price, Green River, Castle Dale and Huntington.

There are specific dates and times for returning applications in Emery County, but Vista Volunteer worker, Annalee Howland says they may be turned in to the United Way of Eastern Utah Office in Price anytime before November 15th:

“Because a lot of times they get people they know are coming into town that they can come with, or people even work here so they absolutely can come to the office.  That’s what we prefer.  But we know it’s a hardship to get here if you’re in a situation where you don’t have a car, you don’t have money for gas, and these are the people we’re helping so we’re going to do our best to make sure that we have made it very clear that those opportunities will be available on those specific times and dates.”

Applications may be returned to Head Start in Huntington on Thursday, October 25th and Tuesday, November 5th from 11 am to 1 pm only.  They may be returned to the Department of Workforce Services in Castle Dale only on Tuesday, November 5th from 2-5 pm.
Applications are also available at United Way of Eastern Utah at 67 East Main in Price, the Green River Epicenter, 180 Broadway, and the East Carbon City Office, 105 West Geneva Drive.
