Rocky Mountain Homecare and Hospice has partnered with United Way of Eastern Utah, Carbon County Recreation and C&E Custom Tees to put on the 1st Annual Angel Babies Walk on Saturday, March 12th at 1:00 pm at the Helper Parkway Pavilion.

Alison Marrelli, an Event Organizer spoke about the thought process behind the remembrance walk, “Danielle Birrell, our Director and I had discussed how we wanted to do something for our staff that has lost a child and I had participated in an Angel Babies Walk up north for a family member of mine and so we decided to make our own down here.”  This free event is for the families and friends who have lost a baby due to miscarriage, still birth, SIDs, infertility and other life limiting conditions.

Amy Ruggeri, an Event Organizer talked about event t-shirts for participants to purchase, “Touched by an Angel Baby is the general saying, you can have it specify to say Mother of an Angel Baby, Father of an Angel Baby. We have them available in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes, there also available in pink, blue and white.” The cost of the customized t-shirts is $12.00 each, standard t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event for $15.00.  Deadline for all customized t-shirts orders is Friday, February 26th at 5:00 pm at the Rocky Mountain Homecare office.

You can find a link to the order form on our website at www.castlecountryradio.com.  Ruggeri added, “We have the order forms at Rocky Mountain. You can call us, we can fax you one over, 60 East 100 North in Price, its right across the street from the car wash”.

The organizers have reached out to the local funeral homes and monumental businesses to work closely with them when helper a family in need with this newly established account. “The money that we collect we’re actually going to put into a fund, the United Way is going to manage it for us and then we will be able to help those families,” stated Marrelli.

If you are unable to attend the event or would rather make a monetary donation instead of purchasing a t-shirt you can make your donation to the United Way of Eastern Utah office located at 67 E Main Street in Price.
