The Bureau of Land Management has schedule their monthly Recreation Planning Meeting on  Wednesday, April 13 at 5:30 pm at the Price Field Office located at 125 South 600 West.

The meeting will start with a report on completed volunteer projects such as Millsite, USU Eastern Sun Center’s project at Daddy Canyon, CCOHVA Trail Assessment, the building of kiosks, the Wood Hill projects, Devils Racetrack, Temple Wash project and how the Easter weekend monitoring went.

A conversation of the remaining volunteer projects that will need to be completed for spring will be discussed such as Behind The Reef project, USU Eastern Sun Center’s Little Wild Horse assignment, more improvements to Wood Hill bike trails, Chimney Rock trail system projects, volunteering for trail monitoring on Memorial Day weekend, and the Cedar Mountain Fossil Ridge Trail which happens to be an Eagle Scout project.

Planning updates will be given on Nine Mile which will now be open for public comments, the San Rafael Desert Travel Management, Joe’s Valley Bouldering area, Goodwater Rim Trail and finally Trail Cat.

The meeting will be closed out with the discussion of the Old Spanish Trail agreement in Emery County.

Anyone interested in outdoor recreation on BLM Managed Land in Carbon and/or Emery County is welcome to attend.
