In anticipation of the upcoming Business Innovation Summit of Eastern Utah, World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) is requesting nominations for the Champion for International Business Award and for the Vanguard in International Business Award.

A successful candidate for the Vanguard in International Business Award meets the following criteria:

 Utah-based business headquartered in one of the following counties: Daggett, Duchesne, Uintah, Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan. 

 Has successfully exported for at least one year. 

 Has potential for increased export activity. 

A successful candidate for the Champion for International Business Award meets the following criteria: 

 An individual from Daggett, Duchesne, Uintah, Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan County who supports and advocates for businesses expanding into international markets. 

The awards will be presented by WTC Utah, in partnership with the Department of Workforce Services, at the Business Innovation Summit of Eastern Utah. The summit will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds in Price, in partnership with Carbon County. 

Local business leaders will speak on expanding a business locally, nationally, and internationally. Lieutenant Governor Spencer J. Cox will conclude the event by delivering the keynote address. Following the event, there will be time dedicated for networking and connecting with business service providers. The Business Innovation Summit of Eastern Utah serves those located in Daggett, Duchesne, Uintah, Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan County.
