The Cops and Bobbers, Badges and Blades Kids Day is set for Saturday, May 14 at 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Carbon County Event Center and Fairgrounds Fishing Pond located at 450 South Fairgrounds Way in Price. This is a free event for all the children in Carbon and Emery counties to come and enjoy.

Carbon County Sheriff Jeff Wood was excited to talked about the event, “It’s an event that’s put on by the DWR Law Enforcement, Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, Kiwanis and its going to be fishing at the Carbon County Fairgrounds pond and there will be equipment provided for that and they will have an indoor archery event, wildlife identification, hot dogs and drinks. It’s going to be a good time for everybody.”

Fishing equipment will be provided by the DWR at the pond for children ages 11 and under. Anyone over the age of 12 must have a current fishing license to participate.

“By getting involved with wildlife there is so much to do in our area, I mean right now we are coming out of the shed antler season,” said Wood. “Just show up and come interact with your local law enforcement team and the Kiwanis folks will be down there, they’re a good time always.”
