It’s that time of year for the sweet smell of smoke and burning rubber….Price City’s International Days Burn Out Contest is set to take place on Friday, July 29 at 7:00 pm. The annual tradition brings out all ages of spectators to line up alongside Main Street in front of the Peace Gardens to watch the competition.

Competitors enter their vehicles ranging from vintage muscle cars to 4-wheel drive trucks but the standard theme for each driver is “the more smoke the better!” Drivers interested in participating are asked to sign-up at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 29, pay the $15.00 entry fee and be ready to put on a great show.

If burning rubber is not quite your style but you love to show off your “pride and joy” the annual Car Show will be held on Saturday, July 30 at Pioneer Park located at 100 East 550 North. Registration will begin at 8:00 am till 10:00 am and visitors are welcomed to come walk around to admire all of the cars/trucks/motorcycles till 4:00 pm.

Car show classes will be best of stock and custom, 1900’s and up, best muscle car, new muscle car, best street rod, best convertible, best 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive, best motorcycle, best paint, best upholstery, best of show and much much more. Awards will range from dash plaques, trophies for all registered entrants.
