Did you know the simple act of saving aluminum cans is a great way to make a huge impact to the Habitat for Humanity organization? Money earned from recycling aluminum cans can be donated to build homes for families in need and save our environment.

The partnership between the Aluminum Association and Habitat for Humanity International began in August of 1997.  Although prices vary from location to location, each can is worth a little more than a penny.  Fundraising through aluminum can recycling is a steady process that pays off over time. Cans for Habitat estimates that the program has the potential to raise enough money to build 250 new Habitat for Humanity houses each year.

Bag up your aluminum cans, label the bags with “Habitat for Humanity” and drop them off any of the following locations:

Epicenter, 180 South Broadway in Green River

Habitat for Humanity Office, 150 South 700 East, Price

Basin Industries Recycling Center, 510 Lee Lane in Price

Stephenson Metal Recycling, 1780 West Ridge Road in Wellington

Every “can” helps and is greatly appreciated.
