The Angel Baby Fundraiser committee would like to invite the community out for an evening of a soup dinner and games on Saturday, November 12 at 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Carbon County Event Center at 310 South Fairgrounds Road.

Amy Ruggeri, one of the event organizers gave the back story behind the Angel Baby Fund, “In March of this year we actually started an Angel Baby Fundraiser and the funds go towards families who have lost a child or a baby to pay for funeral costs.” The fund assists families in both Carbon and Emery counties and it’s unfortunate that this year alone five families have lost their child/baby.

A delicious soup dinner will be served for $10.00 per person, $6.00 for children under 8 years old and a group of five for $40.00. Dinner will include your choice of one of the five soups, salad, roll and dessert.

Ruggeri added, “We will have games where you have the opportunity to win different prizes. The prizes are all valued from $50.00 to $100.00. We will also have a silent auction with larger prizes, we had some great things donated to us.” All proceeds from the event will go straight into the Angel Baby Fund.

It’s the desire of the committee to continue to support families by providing this service that they otherwise would not have. “If anyone ever just wants to donate to the fund they can donate anytime; if they can’t make it to this but would like to give money towards the Angel Baby Fund they can just come down to our office and drop off a donation,” stated Ruggeri. Donations made to a non-profit organization are eligible for a tax write-off at the end of the year for most individuals.
