Senior Signing Day to be held at USU Eastern on May 18, 2017 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm in the JLSC (Student Center).

As part of USU Eastern GEAR UP’s college access initiative, we will be recognizing graduating GEAR UP students from Carbon, Lighthouse, Pinnacle (PIN-A-CLE), Emery, and Green River high schools on May 18, 2017 for their accomplishment of making postsecondary plans.

Inspired by the previous First Lady’s Reach Higher Initiative, the goal of this program is to highlight all students who commit to making plans after high school. During this event, students will be recognized for choosing to enroll in community colleges, technical programs, private colleges, public universities, enlisting in the military, and embarking on volunteer/service missions.

Brandon Flores, the Director of the USU Eastern GEAR UP program, expects more than 50 seniors to participate with the help of staff, counselors and administration from USU Eastern, Carbon County School District, Pinnacle School District, and Emery County School District.
