Despite a stellar first half of soccer the Carbon Lady Dinos suffered a 3-2 loss to the Providence Hall Patriots Tuesday afternoon in Salt Lake City.

Holding a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half, the Lady Dinos allowed three goals in the final period of play. The loss marks the third in four tries for Carbon, dipping their region record to 5-3 on the season.

Providence Hall standout Kylie Ferguson netted a hat trick, scoring all three goals in the win. The victory ends a three-game losing skid for the Patriots, which started back on Sept. 6 against Juab.

Grace Broadbear scored one goal, running her season total to 11. Ryan Brady added the other score for Carbon, finding the back of the net for the seventh time this season.

The Lady Dinos are currently in sole possession of third place with only four games remaining in the regular season. Carbon will return to the field on Thursday in a home contest against Maeser Prep.
