IFA Country Stores are thrilled to offer that first of its kind, a Small Animal Vaccination and Wellness Clinic on Saturday, October 20 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. This is a newly established event that will be held inside the store which is located at 240 West 100 North in Price.

“So, when I was in Cortez we had this vaccination clinic and you bring your animals in, your cats and dogs, and we have a vet there that is going to vaccinate for all the shots including, if you want to pay for it that rabies shot,” stated the new Assistant Manager, Theron Lee. “It was such a good success down in Cortez we thought we might as well do it here in Price and have the opportunity to get your dog or cat vaccinated for a decreased amount of money and even have a wellness check.” Lee transferred to the Price Store about three months ago from Colorado store with his wife and three sons. This is a step closer to home as he is from the Logan area and looks forward to working with the folks in both Carbon and Emery Counties.

There will be two local veterinaries on hand to accommodate the visiting pet owners.  Lee explains the decision to make this a semi-annual event, “We would like to do this every six months just because some people have vaccinated maybe eight months ago and they can’t take advantage of it this time. But six months from now they’ll be able to take advantage of it then and make it and easy thing for your animals to be vaccinated.”  The cost for a regular set of vaccines will be $40.00 and an extra $10.00 for rabies. Pet owners whose cats or dogs are current on their shots can still opt for the rabies injection. Documentation of the pet’s vaccines will need to be presented and will be required to be leashed or crated in order to participate in the clinic.

The event organizers have arranged with the Carbon County Animal Shelter for spay and neuter vouchers. Pet owners will complete a form about their pet which will then be turned into the shelter where they will make contact at a later time to set up an appointment with the vet for the services. There will be some out-of-pocket expenses along with the voucher but at a lower cost than normal.

There will be various sales taking place throughout the store on high-end dog food items and pet accessories on top of the normal monthly sales. There is a great way for the community to introduce themselves to the new Assistance Manager.

The Small Animal Vaccination and Wellness Clinic would not be possible without its proud sponsors, Carbon County Animal Shelter, Carbon County Humane Society, Carbon Animal Health and Emery Animal Health.
