The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is hosting a free Predator Hunting Clinic on Saturday, February 1 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The clinic will be held at the DWR’s Southeast Regional Office at 319 North Carbonville Road in Price.

“One of the activities that this area offers is we have a chance to go out and pursue some predators for hunting. At this clinic which again will take place February 1 at 10 o’clock in the morning we’re going to be teaching people how to do calls to call in predators or coyotes. We’ll talk a little bit about the app and the app being the reports of your coyotes you are harvesting,” said Conservation Outreach Manager, Aaron Bott.

Instructors will give tutorials on components of coyote and fox hunting, such as predator habitat, effective calling, firearms and ammunition, and other tactics.

After the presentation attendees will be given an opportunity to have any questions answered, get some advice and guidance from the local Predator Specialists.

Bott explains how to register for the clinic, “You can call our Price office; our phone number is (435) 613-3700. You can call us and tell us that you are interested or you have a family member that is interested and we do like to sign people up in advance just to know how many people we are expecting.” Hunters interested in attending can also register online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/predator-hunting-clinic-tickets-82679686167
