Price, UT – The Utah State University women’s basketball team finished a solid Scenic West Athletic Conference weekend with a 48-point rout of Colorado Northwestern Community College. USU Eastern improved their win streak over the Spartans to 15 games. This being the 21st victory of the season for the Lady Eagles.

Every player for the Eagles tallied 2 points or more in the total team win. The Eagles scored 20 or more points in each quarter and led by as much as 51 points at one point in the game. The team shot an outstanding 60% from three throughout contest.

There were 5 Eagles who were in double figures. Harley Carlisle had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, including 11 offensive rebounds. Emmery Wagstaff chipped in 18 and 5 assists. Margarett Otuafi added 15 points. Lainee Jensen was 5 of 6 from long distance and also added 15 points.

Emery County native Kinlee Toomer had a career night for USU Eastern.  Toomer had a game-high 26 points on an impressive 10 of 11 shooting. She was 3 for 3 from beyond the arc and 3 for 3 from the free-throw line. She added 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals to her already noteworthy performance.

USU Eastern moves to 6-1 in conference with this win. The Lady Eagles, coached by Chelsey Warburton, will continue the second half of SWAC conference play on the road in Taylorsville, UT against #23 Salt Lake Community College.
