Carbon High School’s search for a new girl’s softball coach is currently underway and will be open to potential candidates throughout the remainder of the week.

In late June Carbon parted ways with former coach Wade Williams, which created the opening.

“Carbon High School would like to thank Coach Wade Williams for his years of service as the Head Softball Coach at Carbon High School,” Principal Chris Winfree said in a written statement. “Coach Williams has dedicated countless hours to supporting the team and preparing them to succeed on and off the softball field. We appreciate all that Coach Williams did for the players, parents, and the community. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Those interested in applying for the job must have a high school diploma or equivalent. The position will be part time at approximately 20 hours per week. Potential applicants must also be able to pass a live scan fingerprint background screen.

It is preferred that each applicant have experience working with high school student-athletes. The job duties will also include overseeing daily maintenance and repair of equipment, along with other duties assigned.
