Our loving mother, grandmother and centenarian, Susie Harris Scott, passed away August 6, 2020 at the Heirloom Inn in Price just a week shy of her 106th birthday.
Susie was born August 14, 1914 in Shady Point, Oklahoma to Frank and Lou Fout Harris. She married, Dale Scott, October 2, 1934 in Poteau, Oklahoma. In 1959, Susie and Dale moved to Moab where they raised their family and resided for 40 years. Dale preceded her in death on February 12, 2001.
Susie lived a full life and made the best of everything. She was a longtime resident of Carbon County where she worked at Walker’s Drug and Castleview Hospital. Susie was always there when any family member needed her. Her biggest accomplishment was sharing love and affection with her family and friends. Susie will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived her son, Bobby D. Scott, Price; daughters, Betty (Gail) Crick, Central Heights Arizona, Sherry (Dave) Riding, Roosevelt; daughter-in-law, Barbara Scott, Rathdrum, Idaho; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her beloved family at the Heirloom Inn.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Troy, Donald and J.R.; granddaughter, Troi Su; and grandsons, J.D. Rollie and Gary.
Susie’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff and residents at the Heirloom Inn for years of dedicated care to our mother. Your generosity and kindness will never be forgotten.
Funeral service, Saturday, August 8, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Wellington City Cemetery.
