Allen Guptill, age 68, died August 7, 2020  at Utah Valley Hospital after a long illness.

Allen was born September 12, 1951 to Harold & Katie VanHorn Guptill in Dragerton, Utah.

Married Jann Coates on August 8, 1970 in Price, Utah.

Allen lived all his life in Carbon County and was happiest when home with his family.

When Allen was in high school, he acquired the nickname “Guppy” and this stuck with him his whole life.

Allen love to go fishing and hunting with his dad Harold, and brother Richard.  There were many times when Allen and Richard’s family went along, for the fun times.

Allen drove coal truck for more than 30 years, first for Kevin Jensen and later Savage Industries.

Allen is survived by his wife, Jann; son, Archie (Jennifer); daughter, Lisa Keele (Vernon), daughter, Kristen Ballard (Jared); brother, Richard (Charlotte); sisters, Sandy Bryant and Lori Guptill.  He has twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral service Friday, August 14, 2020, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home.  Where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment at Cliffview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome to share memories at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
