The Carbon Lady Dinos soccer team faced the Manti Templars, last years 3A State Champion on Monday. It was another test for the Dinos as they try to return to last years dominance, however Manti took over and defeated Carbon 2-0.

These two teams faced off last year on October 10, the Templars defeated the Dinos 3-0 in one of Carbon’s four losses on the season.

Scoring for the Templars were seniors Allie Bridges and Jayci Jolley. Breanne Wayman registered an assist and senior Katie Larsen logged the shutout in goal.

The game was a stark contrast to the contest with Union last week on Thursday when Carbon dismantled the Cougars by a score of 6-0. Senior Ryan Brady led the Dinos with three goals while sophomore Emma Flemett registered the shutout.

Up next for the Dinos is a road trip to face the Parowan Rams on Tuesday August 18. The next home game for the Dinos is Thursday August 20 as they welcome in Maeser Prep. The game kicks off at 4:00 pm.
