Now that school is back in session you may find that your family may need some services offered at the Price City Library. Castle Country Radio caught up with Library Representative, Tawnya Kulow to talk about those services.

“When we started school, we got a lot of calls, a lot of people were, our patrons were deciding to teach at home. So, we don’t have a lot of things available but we do have our copy machine, that anyone can come in and use, its $.10 cents a sheet. We have our computers still, their social distanced. We have Wi-fi that is in the library, also in the parking in front of the library, and also in the Peace Gardens,” explained Kulow. Patrons will not need a password to access the free Wi-fi while in those locations.

Two other great services that are available to patrons is the Overdrive and Libby apps that allow folks to check out a book on the go.  “That’s an app that you can download, you do need a current library card, but those are very helpful. Also, we have a Utah Education Network that we are hooked up to the State Library, and if you give us a call or come on in, we can give you the password for that, and there’s some really great databases on there for children that need to be researching different items out,” said Kulow. If you are needing help to download the Overdrive and Libby apps get in contact with library staff for assistance.

The city will be starting construction on the ADA ramp to the library soon. “We’re hopefully going to get it started in a few weeks, it is a ramp that will be going down and we’re very excited to provide that to our patrons who will need that,” said Kulow. The ramp will be located on the west side of the library near the Peace Garden so that visitors will have access to the basement portion of the library.
