Coming off a weekend that saw them go a perfect 6-0 at the Dixie tournament, the Dinos would get back to the conference part of their schedule as they traveled to Richfield. Pushing the Wildcats to five sets the Dinos would drop the contest 3-2.

Sitting at 8-2 overall and 1-1 in region Carbon has played well this season, and appears ready to fight their way to the top of the rankings in region 12.

In looking through the statistics for the entire state, many Dinos can be found in the top ten of almost every category. Makenna Blanc is in the top ten in assists. In the blocks column Janzie Jensen and Sydney Orth are ranked. Katie Jones and Emma Christensen are listed in digs and Christensen’s name can be found in the kills category as well.

Carbon would come close to taking the first set with a score of 25-23. In the second set the Dinos came roaring back an claimed victory 25-17. The Wildcats would take the third set 25-18 while Carbon claimed the fourth 25-19. The final set Richfield would claim the match with a 15-12 win.

For the Dinos in this one Katie Jones walked away with 32 digs, Lyndee Mower and Makenna Blanc added 17 a piece as well. Emma Christensen racked up 20 kills while Janzie Jensen and Blanc collected 6. Blanc would also go on to have 30 assists.

Up next for the Dinos will be a home match against the Emery Spartans on Thursday September 3, the match is set to begin at 6:30.
