Carbon tennis had hit their stride lately. Heading in to the matches with Richfield on Thursday they were 11-5 overall and 2-0 in region play. Then the Wildcats came to town and walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Dinos.
Carbon had been on a winning streak dating back to August 25, and during that time that notched wins against Grand, San Juan, Gunnison and Delta, the first two being against region competition.
Richfield , another region foe traveled to Price on Thursday to take on the Dinos. Coming off of the 5-0 win in Castle Dale against Emery on Tuesday, the Wildcats picked up where they left off losing only one match in the contest.
The lone victory for the Dinos was in the No. 2 singles match where Lizzy Blackburn claimed a three set victory 6-4, 1-6 and 6-2.
Carbon will now have a week to rest till Thursday the 10 when they will travel to Mount Pleasant to take on Wasatch Academy in a non-conference match-up.
They will be back on the courts in Price on Tuesday the 15, when they welcome in South Sevier in a region match. The first serve is set for 3:30.
