The Price Boys & Girls Club was in need of a home and have finally obtained a building to lease to set up shop. Castle Country Radio spoke over the phone with President and CEO for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake, LeAnn Saldivar to discuss the new digs.

“We’re very excited to have found a location that we think will work very well for our kids. Its centrally located, and it’s a new building, a little bit smaller but much more functionally than the space we were previously in and we’re really excited to get moved and rolling,” said Saldivar. The new location is at 60 East 100 North in Price.

Boys & Girls Club officials thought the process to find a new location would take some time but were lucky to land the location they did. “We got to get all of our stuff out of storage and get set up. We’ve got some inspections and things to do to make sure that we’re safe as we can be, and that we are set up to serve kids in that location. Just a few nuts and bolts that we need to hammer out before we can let kids in the door,” said Saldivar. Staff members will be busily preparing the building to be open by the beginning of October.

At this time the organization is hosting registration outside of their new location. “We are currently registering spots for when our program does open. The best way to get one of those spots is to stop by our new location, and the address is 60 East 100 North, we’re right across the street from Sodalicious. But stop by between noon and 6:00 pm and we’d be happy to get you a registration form,” said Director Olivia Dudding-Rodriguez. You can also register by email at odudding@gslclubs.org They are in the process of getting a phone system set up at their new location so email or in-person visits are the best way to get registered for their services.
