The Carbon Lady Dinos earned their third consecutive victory with a dominating 8-0 win over the South Sevier Rams Thursday afternoon in Monroe.

Holding a 4-0 lead at the end of the first half, Carbon closed out the game in style by adding four more goals in the final half to claim the win and a season series sweep over the Rams.

Beverly Lancaster, Kinley Cowdell and Molly Banks all scored two goals for Carbon. The offensive success trickled through the team as Amiah Timothy and Sophia Crompton also found the back of the net to round out the scoring.

Defensively Emma Flemett recorded the shutout at goalie. The shutout is the fourth this season for the Lady Dinos.

Now 5-1 in Region 12 play, Carbon remains in contention to claim a division championship. Richfield and Emery remain in the hunt to claim the division’s top spot.

The Lady Dinos will now prepare for an important week of play, which begins Tuesday on the road against San Juan. Thursday a monumental game will take place against Richfield, who is also 5-1, at Carbon High School.
