The annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 11 at 11:00 am at the Price City Peace Garden at 185 East Main Street. The special day of observance will begin with the short walk at 10:00 am from 300 East Main to the Price City Peace Garden.

“So the ceremony on November 11, next week, is to recognize the Veterans in our community, those who signed the dotted line and risk everything for their nation and to say thank you, say welcome home, we appreciate your service. We’ll start off Veterans Day with a walk for Veterans, all Veterans are welcomed to join us. Doesn’t matter if you’re a member of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans Association, or Veterans of Foreign Wars – membership is not required, you signed on the dotted line so all Veterans are welcomed,” said David Jelin. All Veterans, of all branches during all periods of conflict and in between, whether or not a member of a Veterans group is welcome to join the walk. If possible, Veterans are asked to please wear their service uniforms.

All Veterans are welcomed to join in on a Veterans Walk which will start at 300 East at Grakos and walk down Main Street to the Price City Peace Gardens. “If you’re not a Veteran we’re asking everybody to come out on the street between 300 East and Main Street and line the street and cheer on the Veterans and relay your thank you’s, to give your appreciation say I love you for your service,” said Jelin. All Castle Country residents’ young and old are encouraged to attend this special ceremony to show all local Veterans that they are appreciated for their willingness to serve, as well as, to celebrate their bravery and sacrifices.
