Deanna Vee Dyer Sundstrom, 72, passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2020, in Richfield, Utah. Deanna was born on October 7th, 1948, in Delta, Colorado, to Delbert Escoe and Dixie Rae Dyer nee. Wright. She married Jon H Sundstrom Sr. on August 7th, 1965, in Carson City, Nevada.
Deanna had a love of life and for helping people. First and foremost, however, her greatest love and joy was her family, immediate, extended, and children she took on as her own. If you needed help, Deanna was there. She loved baking and big family dinners, mornings spent with friends having cups of coffee and chat sessions. You were always welcome to drop by to sit and visit. Her passion for helping others led to her work as an Emery County EMT for over 20 years. There wasn’t a holiday she didn’t love, most of all Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved beautiful things. One of the most beautiful things in the world to her was receiving fists full of flowers, from wildflowers to lilacs; Deanna loved them all.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Richfield Care and Rehabilitation Center for the level of love and care they had for Deanna during her stay.
Deanna is survived by; her children: Laura Sundstrom Ross, Patrick (Amanda) Sundstrom, Jon “Smiley” (Amy) Sundstrom II, and Samual Sundstrom. 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Siblings: Delbert “Ed” Dyer, Rodney Dyer, and Toni Archer.
Deanna is preceded in death by her husband Jon H Sundstrom; her son Delbert; her granddaughter DeAnna Lynn; brothers Mason and Chris Dyer; and parents Delbert and Dixie Dyer.
A viewing will be on Friday, November 20th, 2020, at 6 pm at the LDS Church in Emery. The funeral services will be on Saturday, November 21st, 2020, at 11:00 am at the LDS Church in Emery.
