CLYDE ARTHUR GRAMES, 92 passed away on January 15, 2021 in Saratoga Springs, UT after a long battle with dementia.

He was born September 16, 1928 in Price, Utah. His father was Arthur Joseph Grames, Mother was Christena Martena Christensen.

Clyde served in the U.S. Navy as a seaman second class USNR from 1945-46. He came home where he met his wife Betty and they were married May 27, 1948. Their daughter Karen was born in May of 1949. Later their marriage was sealed for time and eternity in the Provo Temple on June 21, 1985. He served as a ward and stake missionary as well as a High Councelman in the Price 1st Ward/Price Stake. After moving to Saratoga Springs, UT, he was a temple worker in the Mount Timpanogas Temple.

Clyde worked in the Horse Canyon coal mine in East Carbon for 16 years, then moved to Salt Lake City where he owned a Phillips 66 station. He later worked as a serviceman for a propane company, then became a postman before moving back to Price to work in the coal mines again. He worked various jobs throughout his life, when the coal mines were on strike. Clyde lost his father at age 10 and worked from then on learning various trades. His work ethic was impeccable. After moving to Saratoga Springs, he even became a crossing guard for the local elementary.

He was president of the local union when he worked for American Electric Power. He was a member of the American Legion. He loved to play softball and golf and was an avid bowler. He was the best Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather and he will be missed greatly. We love you Dad.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lucille Duvall Grames and daughter, Karen Grames Colemere(Riverton) along with two bothers, Thomas Allan (Sandy) Grames, Evansville, IN and Floyd L (Louise) Gorley, East Carbon City along with 4 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

Preceded in death by his father, his mother, his step-father Leonard Crisswell Gorley and four sisters, Marie Lutz (Las Vegas), Lillian Urbanik (East Carbon), Beula Heath (Price) and Beatrice Dockery (St. George).

Funeral service, Thursday, January 21, 2021, 11:00 a.m., Harvest Hills Ninth Ward Chapel (2181 North Harvest Moon Drive, Saratoga Springs, Utah, 84045) where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
