Carbon softball has been on quite a roll lately, coming off of Thursday’s win over Union in Roosevelt, the Dinos returned to Price on Friday to welcome the South Sevier Rams. Turning on the offense early Carbon earned the 16-3 win in five innings.

Carbon owns an 11-1 record this season as well as a 5-0 record in Region 12 play, they also sit at No. 4 in the state RPI. The Dinos have nine games left this season before the state tournament begins on May 1.

Carbon allowed three runs to South Sevier and they scored them all in the top of the first inning. The Dinos would score two runs in the inning but their bats came alive in inning number two when Makayla Scovill doubled to left scoring Heaven Vigil, in the next at bat Lyndsey Madrigal crushed a home run to center which allowed Molly Horsley and Scovill to score. A Brooke Moosman single to center would score Gianna Bruno then Stevie Oman would double to center to bring in Moosman. Vigil would tag a single to center that brought Katie Jones and Oman across the plate pushing the score to 11-3 after two innings.

In the third, Oman would double scoring Moosman and Graycie Hansen, Oman would later be brought in by a Vigil single. The Dinos added one more run in the fourth off a Madrigal solo shot to center.
