The Culture Connection outdoor concert series is back! Price City Council Member Layne Miller took time to come into Castle County Radio to talk all the details.

“It’s going to be May 13 and it’s going to be Shuffle. They’re just a party band. They do old rock, they do Pink Floyd, they just do everybody. It’s the kind of music that you just can’t sit still, you have to get up and dance. What a better thing for our return to outdoors then with a group you can get up and dance,” said Miller. Over the past decade, Shuffle has become a staple of the Utah party scene. Created by members of Advent Horizon, they’re known nationally for their jaw dropping renditions of classics from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Heart, Michael Jackson, Journey and many more.

The outdoor concerts will be held at the Price City Peace Garden on Thursday evenings. But don’t worry if you are unable to attend in person you will still be able to access the concerts online. “You’ll still be able to stay home, listen to it on your devices but if you want to, the way 90 percent of the people are, we just want to be outside, sitting on the grass, listening to music and it’s going to start May 13,” said Miller. The concerts can be found on Price City’s Facebook page.

City officials have the calendar for June planned out with some local acts taking the stage. “We’re going to start with Sha’la on the 10th. So Sha’la performed inside just not too long ago, so she’ll be back, she’s a local. Then Kelly Vogrinec will be following her on the 17th and then on the 24th we have Los Hermanos De Los Andes,” said Miller. Again, these outdoor concerts will be held at the Price City Peace Garden so you’ll want to be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets with you.

There have been some rules set in place for guests to adhere to when attending the outdoor concerts. “The protocols are what they are now. You have to maintain distance. We’re going to encourage people to sit in family groups. Keep the groups separate from other groups. We expect a really big crowd so we’re going to block off Main Street. So people can get their chairs, put them on Main Street do what they need to do to maintain a safe distance yet be there to enjoy the music,” stated Miller.
