The Carbon County 4-H is hosting a Cupcake Wars Family Night on Thursday, April 29 at 6:00 pm at the Carbon County Event Center on 450 South Fairgrounds Way in Price. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with 4-H Coordinator, DeLayna Barr to talk about all the details.

“We have an event that is so fun it’s called Cupcake Wars and it’s for the whole family. We’re going to feed the families and then have a fun activity of Cupcake Wars, and what it is it’s introducing public speaking. We’re going to start having county contests here and what it does for the kids of learning about public speaking, becoming comfortable with speaking, and just giving them those steps and avenues that they’ll be prepared for job interviews and college,” stated Barr. This event will give you tips and tricks on impromptu speaking.

The Cupcake Wars game will be played by rolling dice to see the number of ingredients you will be allowed to use to decorate your cupcake.  “Cupcake Wars we’re going to have six different kinds of cupcakes, six different kinds of frostings, and six different kinds of toppings. We roll a dice and you just get want you get and go put your cupcake together, design it, decorate it, take a few minutes to think about how you’re going to present your cupcake to sell to everybody,” explained Barr. Everyone will be given the opportunity to decorate and present a cupcake to the group.

If you would like to attend the Cupcake Wars Family Night you do need to register by April 28. “They can go to the https://4h.zsuite.org/ and sign up that way or call our office at (435) 636-3233.
