The highly successful 2021 baseball season turned into five 3A All-State selections for the Carbon Dinos, including first team nods for junior Rylan Hart and senior Kade Dimick.

Leading the team with 51 hits throughout the season, Hart accumulated a .443 batting average in 33 games. Registering 15 doubles and 25 RBIs, Hart also posted a .511 on base percentage, with a .574 slugging percentage.

The first team selection for Hart comes after he was named the Region 12 MVP in May.

Dimick’s first team selection comes as no surprise as he dominated on the pitcher’s mound throughout the 2021 season. Ending with an 0.875 ERA, Dimick finished with a 6-1 record as he tallied 57 strikeouts.

While highly efficient on the mound, Dimick batted .354 throughout the season, generating a .479 OBP. He also tied for the team lead in RBIs with 36.

Senior Cooper Schade and junior Jordan Fossat were both named to the All-State second team. Junior Keaton Rich rounded out the individual awards as he received an honorable mention.

Schade hit .337 during his senior campaign as he posted a .437 OBP. Hitting a team best three home runs during the 2021 season, Schade brought in 18 RBIs. In the field he also notched 37 putouts and finished with a fielding percentage of .949.

Known for his time on the mound, Fossat finished the season with a 5-2 record as a starter. Making 12 mound appearances he fanned 45 batters in 39.2 innings, ending with a 2.29 ERA. In the batter’s box Fossat hit .354 and tied for most RBIs on the team with 36.

Rich was named honorable mention as he posted a .362 batting average to go with a .478 OBP. Rich also brought in 26 RBIs and hit 10 doubles.

The 3A-All State selections were voted on by the coaches throughout the classification.
